Yeah, yeah... so I'm lazy.

I'm not sure what my problem is.. I meant to have some decent posts about my trip but I guess I got a huge case of the fuk-its. The trip went well, except for a huge down-pour when I was only 30 miles from home. All the other days it was great, as long as you didn't mind a little heat. The highest I saw it posted was 104 degrees, but I bet it was over 95 degrees for most of the time. It was still 90 around 8:30 at night! Thankfully the A/C blew cold in the rooms I stayed in.

Click on THIS and THIS for the photo albums from me and my riding partner for half way, Ben.

It was kinda nice having the extra room back in the garage with the Yamaha Seca being gone - but it didn't last long. Here's my new project:

A co-worker's 1993 Kawasaki Vulcan that needs new tires.

I did the front wheel first, then the back wheel. I've done tires on a couple of different bikes, including one other shaft drive bike - but this one had to be difficult. Kawasaki thought it'd be a good idea to have the exhaust tips right in front of the axle and axle nut. This means the exhaust had to be partially disassembled in order to slide out the axle.
The front was pretty simple - only one brake caliper had to be removed. Those bolts put up a little fight, but it was nothing an 18" breaker bar couldn't handle.

But tires were only the beginning..................
